Aviva Stadium, the new €410 million state-of-the-art home of the Football Association of Ireland (FAI) and Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU), is tucked into the same neighbourhood lot as the previous stadium originally built in 1872. Despite the confined space, the pitch lighting had to satisfy the light quality requirements of TV broadcast organisations and the multiple official sports bodies of professional rugby and football. At the same time, the lighting had to meet the local planning commission's stringent light trespass guidelines. Musco's SportsCluster Green™ system, engineered with reflectors designed to cut spill and glare by 50 percent, helped accomplish owners' goals inside and outside of the stadium's walls. The fixtures also integrated into the gantry structure of the open-center stadium without interfering with the 50,000-seat facility's unique curvilinear-shaped architecture. The innovative SportsCluster Green technology provides guaranteed Constant Light™ over the life of the lamps, and the Constant 10™ product assurance and warranty program covers parts and labour for 10 years.
