USA Baseball and Musco have entered into a long-term partnership. As part of the agreement, Musco
will equip the USA Baseball National Training Center at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, North Carolina.
The four-field complex is due to be completed in the spring of 2007.
The USA Baseball National Training Center will be equipped with the most technologically advanced sports-lighting
system available in the marketplace. The Light-Structure Green systems that will be installed
meet criteria established by Major League Baseball for this level of play as well as Wake County glare control
ordinances. The Green Generation lighting system makes a significant difference in reducing operating costs
through lower energy bills and no maintenance costs. The systems are estimated to reduce total operating
costs by $500,000 over its 25-year cycle.
We are thrilled to be partnering with Musco - a first-class lighting company - on this
very exciting project, said USA Baseball Executive Director/CEO Paul Seiler. From day one,
our intent has been to build a complex that meets Major League Baseball standards, and with Musco's
expertise in sports facility lighting we will be assured of achieving that goal. We're excited about
showcasing their product to baseball players, fans and administrators at this state of the art facility.
We are pleased for the opportunity to be a part of making the future USA Baseball National Training Center
a showcase for national and international tournaments, said Jeff Rogers, Musco Vice President. We look
forward to a great long-term partnership with USA Baseball.
