Hollywood delivered its usual hype, glitz, and glamour Sunday night, at the 76th annual Academy Awards
presentation February 29th. Seabiscuit, nominated for Best Picture of the Year, used Musco's Mobile Lighting systems
to achieve desired lighting effects during race scenes in Kentucky.
Seabiscuit, starring Jeff Bridges, is a true story of the undersized Depression-era racehorse whose
victories not only lifted the spirits of the race team, but the nation's as well.
Musco's Mobile lighting systems have provided lighting for feature films since the 1980's. The Academy
of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences awarded Musco an Academy Award for scientific and engineering achievement in
film lighting.
Besides feature films, Musco's temporary systems have provided lighting for hundreds of college football games
and special events such as Olympic Games, the Statue of Liberty rededication, and X Games.
