Motorsports lighting inspires die cast collectible series

Racing Champions, the maker of popular die cast motorsports collectibles, has announced their Under the Lights series, featuring 1:64 scale NASCAR stock cars as they appear under Musco lighting at Winston Cup superspeedways.

The series features die cast cars finished with a special anodized metallic paint that makes the cars appear as if they are running under the lights.

A special edition package includes one die cast car paired with a matching, authentic mini Mag-Lite in the team color, featuring the team number and driver signature.

Musco’s innovative Mirtran™ system makes night racing at the Winston Cup level possible. Mirtran achieves the quality of lighting required over the long distances of superspeedways. The low-mounted systems prevent a “picket fence” effect in the infield, allowing a clear view for television cameras and spectators.

Musco received a coveted Paul Waterbury Award of Excellence in 1993 for the lighting of Charlotte (now Lowe’s) Motor Speedway — a milestone in lighting innovation. •
