Super Bowl XLIII Under Musco Lights
Raymond James Stadium Tampa Bay, Florida
Musco lighting systems helped bring the television broadcast of Super Bowl XLIII,
played at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay, Florida, to millions of viewers.
The Cardinals and the Steelers played in Super Bowl XLIII
at Raymond James Stadium under Musco lights on Sunday, February 1, 2009. Musco Mobile was present
lighting the NFL Experience, an interactive theme park outside the stadium.
Raymond James Stadium was equipped with Musco lights in 1998 while it was being constructed.
League insiders refer to the stadium as the "crown jewel" of the NFL, and the field is often
described as the best in the league by members of the NFL Players Association. Raymond James
Stadium hosted Super Bowl XXXV, also under Musco lights in 2001.
Muscos presence surrounded Super Bowl XLIII, including permanent lighting
solutions for the game and temporary services outside the stadium.
The NFL Experience outside the stadium offered interactive games, autograph sessions, video
gaming, kicking and passing challenges, and other entertainment attractions. Sports fans of
all ages experienced what it's like to be part of the team.
This was Musco's 11th time lighting the NFL Experience and 8th time lighting the Super Bowl.
Pittsburch Steelers earned its sixth Super Bowl win with the score of 27 - 23.
