Lighting the velodrome where cycling competitions were held was especially challenging. Musco
lighting technician Kirk Hunsicker explained: “The low ceiling was hard to light because
there was a lot of skip light going back to the camera, so we used a black hood. It redirected
the glare and we spun them around so the camera couldn’t see the light.”
