Gulfport Sportsplex Expansion Project

The Challenge

The City of Gulfport, Mississippi, expanded its sports tourism offerings by transforming 250 acres of land next to Gulfport Sportsplex into six new baseball and softball fields as well as two multipurpose fields. Recognizing the economic benefits sports can bring, the city wanted to create a destination for collegiate tournaments with state-of-the-art infrastructure from turf fields to facility lighting. To do this, project leaders needed a partner to provide an LED solution that would be cost-effective, easy to manage, and include advanced light control capabilities.
