The Challenge

McMurtrey Aquatic Center in Bakersfield, California, provides the community with a number of ways to escape the state’s warm weather, including swimming, diving, and recreational opportunities like classes and competitions. With an increasing number of practices and events taking place in the morning and at night, as well as during the winter months, the city needed proper lighting that would allow guests to enjoy the facility to its fullest potential. To accomplish this, city leaders needed a cost-effective LED lighting solution that could provide uniform lighting throughout the facility without negatively impacting surrounding roadways or businesses.
