The Challenge

Millbridge Speedway is a dirt track facility where future champions get their start and NASCAR’s top stars return to their racing roots. Just a short drive from Mooresville (aka Race City USA) this not-so-hidden gem of North Carolina motorsports hosts racing divisions for professional drivers, amateur adrenaline junkies, and beginners as young as 5 years old. Safety is the top priority for track owners Jeremy and Ashly Burnett. They recently equipped the track with a custom-designed LED lighting system that heightened visibility, minimized glare, and transformed the race night experience.

The Solution

Millbridge chose to install a Total Light Control—TLC for LED™ system from Musco Lighting. Musco’s impact on motorsports dates to 1992, with the introduction of Mirtran™ lighting technology at Charlotte Motor Speedway, and continued recently with the addition of TLC for LED® systems at Bowman Gray Stadium and North Wilkesboro Speedway. At Millbridge, factory-aimed luminaires provide uniform illumination on the track without creating glare. Color-changing pole accent lights coordinate with caution lights and green lights for added driver awareness and safety. Show-Light® Pro entertainment technology allows the facility staff to tap into pre-programmed and custom light shows, adding extra excitement to a night race experience that can’t be found anywhere else in the country.
