Gamedays at Auburn University’s Pat Dye Field at Jordan-Hare Stadium are known to be thrilling and full of tradition, so when its existing lighting system wasn’t contributing to this experience, program leaders planned a significant upgrade. The system’s existing HID fixtures are no longer manufactured and with a short supply of bulbs remaining, the university determined an LED sports lighting system would best accommodate the stadium’s needs. For the lighting project, leaders wanted to go beyond just improving visibility for players and fans by also energizing the game night atmosphere with the latest special effects technology.
With the Tigers community enjoying a custom-built Musco system at Auburn baseball’s Plainsman Park, the university was confident in the company’s technology and service and equipped its football stadium with the same Total Light Control – TLC for LED™ technology. The TLC for LED system ensures clean, even light application that enhances viewing conditions within the stadium and for fans watching at home via television broadcasts. Adding to its game night traditions, the university included Musco’s Show-Light+® entertainment package and can produce cutting-edge light shows with light-to-music synchronization and color-changing RGBW technology for pregame, halftime, and postgame celebrations.
