As part of a major infrastructure and technology renovation at the San Antonio Spurs’ AT&T Center, Bexar County and Spurs Sports & Entertainment partnered with Musco to install a new state-of-the-art LED lighting system that maximized energy efficiency and revamped the entertainment experience at the venue.

Musco’s customized lighting solution includes advanced optics that provide the venue with unprecedented light control and precision. By providing a brighter and more uniform light distribution onto the playing surface, the system dramatically reduces glare, improves visibility for athletes, and creates a stage-like atmosphere for spectators.

The lighting solution offers superior broadcast quality lighting without the “flicker” effect, and instant on/off capabilities allow flexibility for special effects, and eliminate warm-up time for the lamps to reach full light levels.

The system will reduce energy consumption at Xcel Energy Center by 63 percent compared to the prior lighting equipment when operated at full power. And Musco’s long-term parts and labor warranty, backed by a team of technicians, eliminates maintenance concerns and costs for the next decade.
