The Challenge

Oxnard Union School District recently completed significant upgrades at several high school facilities, including an extensive overhaul of Oxnard High School’s football stadium. Along with installing a new artificial turf field and scoreboard, the district decided to upgrade the facility’s lighting system to enhance viewing quality for players and fans. Having experimented with different types of light sources for past lighting projects, school leaders wanted a proven LED solution that would not only improve gameday and event operations but also set its stadium atmosphere apart with state-of-the-art special effects technology.

The Solution

Project leaders researched the capabilities of newer LED systems and had a strong understanding of the industry’s top lighting solutions. As a result, they chose to partner with Musco to have its Total Light Control – TLC for LED™ technology retrofitted onto existing poles. The system creates optimal viewing and playing conditions with Musco’s factory-aimed fixtures accomplishing greater light levels, and neighbors will remain unaffected by glare or light spill thanks to the patented light control technology. Musco’s Control-Link® service enables instant remote operation of the lights via smartphone, while the Show-Light® entertainment package adds additional excitement to game nights with cutting-edge light shows and special effects.
