The Challenge

With five consecutive years in the Dairy Baseball League championships, the Waupaca Lakemen were in top form. But the 30-year-old field lighting at their home ballpark was in a slump. Diminishing light levels and cracked poles created visibility and safety issues not only for the Lakemen, but also the Babe Ruth, American Legion, and high school teams who enjoyed night games at Lakeman Field. The Waupaca Parks and Recreation Department wanted to replace the field’s outdated equipment with LED lighting upgrades that would enhance safety, playability, and fan experience.

The Solution

City parks officials turned to Musco for a custom-designed TLC for LED® lighting system with Show-Light® entertainment technology, providing athletes of all ages with a game night experience that rivals many collegiate and professional parks. Built as a complete foundation-to-poletop system with integrated lighting, structural, and electrical components, the design is guaranteed to provide high-quality, uniform lighting for at least the duration of its 25-year warranty. An easy-to-use Show-Light® system allows teams to elevate the game experience with preset lighting effects and a library of custom music-to-light show programming.
