Tyler County Schools in Sistersville, West Virginia, recently dedicated resources toward revamping facilities at Tyler Consolidated High School. The project planned a complete overhaul of the school’s entire athletic complex, which includes facilities for football, soccer, baseball, and softball. As part of the project, school leaders wanted to look into adding new lighting but would need a cost-effective solution that could be customized to satisfy the distinct needs for each field in order to accomplish their goals. Along with eliminating maintenance issues and streamlining operation, the school wanted to introduce an exciting new experience at athletic events with advanced light shows and special effects.
School leaders determined Musco could best accomplish their lighting goals and retrofitted its Total Light Control – TLC for LED™ technology onto existing poles at the football field and installed new poles and fixtures at the remaining fields. The system’s customizable optics and factory-aiming capability combine to achieve greater light levels on each playing surface. Musco’s Show-Light® entertainment package was installed on the football field and enhances game nights with cutting-edge light shows and special effects. The Control-Link® service enables instant operation with the touch of a smartphone, while Musco’s comprehensive warranty covers any part and all labor for the system through the year 2045.
“Musco and their Total Light Control has made our sporting venues, pathway and parking lot lighting ready and reliable across Tyler County Schools. Because of this, our students, staff, and community are protected and we have peace of mind.”
