The Challenge

Gilbert, Arizona, is often characterized as one of the best places to live in America due to its rich agricultural roots, thriving business, and abundance of leisure activities. Since garnering more attention, community leaders have struggled to develop recreational amenities to keep up with the community’s growth. To provide a solution, the town planned an expansive project that will deliver as many as 16 multi-use fields with high quality lighting to Desert Sky Park. The town wanted the fields to include LED technology that would minimize spill and glare, provide exceptional visibility, and simplify operation.

The Solution

Gilbert had previously partnered with Musco and knew of its commitment to customizing solutions that would satisfy the distinct needs of each field. After learning more about its LED systems, the town determined Musco’s Total Light Control – TLC for LED™ technology would best accomplish its goals. The system’s patented visoring technology ensures neighbors remain unaffected by the lighting while also redirecting spill light back onto the field for enhanced visibility. And, no matter how large Desert Sky Park grows, Control-Link® controls service will allow facility leaders to operate the lights instantly, from anywhere, with the touch of a smartphone.
