As recreational softball gains popularity throughout the United States, participants in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, are witnessing almost two decades worth of dedication toward expanding local opportunities for the sport finally pay off. The city’s approval for constructing the Challenger Adult Softball Complex at Events Park introduced four new championship-level softball fields as well as a smaller facility, known as Miracle Field, that is designed for adults with disabilities. The city wanted to raise the standard for recreational softball in Oklahoma and needed a highly-customized lighting solution with advanced technology and proactive monitoring services to make its vision a reality.
The city partnered with Musco several times in the past and trusted in the company and its services. As a result, Broken Arrow opted for Musco’s Total Light Control – TLC for LED™ system. Musco’s custom optics and factory-aiming capabilities achieve the light levels needed for higher-level competition on each field, while the system’s ability to minimize glare and spill light ensures local factories and businesses lining the west side of the complex aren’t negatively impacted by the lights. The Control-Link® controls and monitoring service simplifies operation of the system, while Musco’s parts and labor warranty eliminates maintenance costs through the year 2044.
