Located at the base of Utah’s Wasatch Mountain Range, Santaquin’s Harvest View Sports Complex is on track to be one of the state’s most unique sports destinations. The first phase of construction for the complex provided a new community soccer park with four full-sized fields. To offer greater access to community members, the city wanted the facility to be available for nighttime use and needed a manufacturer to provide the best possible lighting to accomplish its goals. Santaquin’s top priorities for a new lighting system were to minimize spill and glare from affecting neighboring roads as well as be easy to operate and maintain.
Santaquin turned to Musco because of its longtime reputation as an industry-leading lighting manufacturer and unique ability to highly customize its solutions. They opted for Musco’s Total Light Control—TLC for LED™ system. The system produces exceptional visibility at night and minimizes the impact of glare and light spill as a result of Musco’s factory-aiming capabilities and patented visoring technology. The Control-Link® controls and monitoring service allows city staff to turn the lights on/off with the touch of a smartphone and the 25-year warranty ensures every part and all labor for the system is covered through 2044.
“Musco assisted us to build our field of dreams by providing high quality lighting for 8 acres of soccer fields. Musco’s Control-Link is excellent and provides us 24/7 customer service, a must with new fields.”
