Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport

Originally built in 1941 as a military airfield, Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport (AZA) was transitioned to a commercial airport in 1994 and today serves nearly 1.8 million passengers annually. With the airport’s high pressure sodium (HPS) apron lighting failing to deliver adequate light levels for ground crews and needing constant maintenance, AZA ownership was looking for a new apron lighting system that would solve a variety of challenging issues.
