The City of Odessa has been dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for its community by continuing to improve and develop its recreational amenities. Recently, the city directed its focus toward Salinas Park’s basketball court, where community members had been limited to playing only during the daylight hours due to the facility’s lack of a lighting system. In order to allow greater access to the basketball court, the city wanted to partner with a lighting manufacturer capable of minimizing spill and glare from affecting motorists on the nearby Clements Street as well as provide a system that would be easy to operate and maintain.
The City of Odessa has used Musco’s technology for decades and knew of the company’s dedication to providing highly advanced and cost-effective lighting solutions. They again chose to partner with Musco and have its Total Light Control—TLC for LED™ system installed. The system provides optimal lighting for nighttime play and prevents glare and spill light from affecting the surrounding area with Musco’s patented visoring technology and factory-aiming capabilities. The Control-Link® controls and monitoring service allows facility staff to operate the lights instantly, from anywhere, via smartphone. And with Musco’s long-term warranty, maintenance costs are covered on every part of the system and all labor for 25 years.
