Daviess County Eliminates Maintenance Costs,

The Challenge
As part of a renovation project at its football stadium, Daviess County High School in Owensboro, Kentucky, made the decision to install a new lighting system. The school wanted to eliminate the hassle and expense of renting a crane to perform maintenance on its existing lights, meet on-field light level requirements, and avoid creating spill or glare that would cause problems with the many nearby homes around the facility.
The Solution
After visiting other facilities and seeing the performance of the system, Daviess County was confident Musco’s Total Light Control—TLC for LED™ technology would best fulfill their goals. The system’s unique design places the electrical components enclosure lower on the pole, alleviating the need for a crane when performing maintenance, while its precise aiming capabilities focus more light onto the field to satisfy footcandle requirements and preserve darkness for homes around the facility.
