Hoover Metropolitan Complex

The Challenge

With more than 20 sports fields and courts, Hoover Metropolitan Complex is one of Alabama’s largest athletic centers. As the host of many highly competitive sports competitions, the city wanted to further expand the complex and add 10 fields to accommodate softball, baseball, football, and soccer. As a way to efficiently maintain the lights at each field, Hoover needed a system with advanced control and monitoring features that would alleviate maintenance responsibilities for the complex.

The Solution

After visiting a nearby field with Musco’s lights, the city was confident Musco had the ability to exceed expectations and later decided to install its TLC for LED® system at all 10 fields. With Musco’s Control‑Link® control system included in the purchase, Hoover gains 24/7 support in which Musco proactively monitors the system’s performance as well as the ability for coaches and directors to easily turn the lights on/off with the touch of a smartphone without any assistance from the complex.
